Update February 6, 2011: The game just ended in a hard-fought draw, which benefits Alexandra since she has a better Berger coefficient (she beat stronger players such as Zhao Xue).

Alexandra Kosteniuk won the Moscow Chess Open 2011

We’re pleased to report that Chess Queen Alexandra Kosteniuk started the year 2011 with a nice success, winning the prestigious Moscow Open 2011, with 7 out of 9 points, ahead of Batkhuyag Munguntuul from Mongolia (also 7 points but with a lower tie-break).
