Your pictures are fantastic! The pieces are beautiful. You’re even more so.
I ve got the same pieces at home, what? Don t you believe in me? Waouhh!!
oh my god oh my god oh my god
These beautiful pics make great computer wallpaper.
Hey chess queen how can you look so cool and charming with all that tension of playing chess? You are wow!
I’m sorry to say that squares size does not match with the pieces size
terrific best ever photos have you considered Hollywood dear chess queen?
@chris yeah yeah yeah love to see chess queen in a murder mystery with chess
You are right to play it’s better to have a bigger square size (like in photo #5 from the top), but for photos it does not matter so much in fact it looks better when the pieces are closer to each other.
Chess queen wow is an understatement
you should be banned from playing against men or maybe allowed to play with a veil. Just kidding. I admire your multidimensional personality, the way you carry yourself, the projects you do to promote chess, and of course the attacking chess you play. V killer. My best wishes. Blessings.
What shame. Beautiful photos ruined again with your logo across the middle of them. I stopped going to “Pufichek’s” site long ago because he does the same thing. Well, I guess crass commercialism is more important than being high class these days.
Max, no offense, but do you know why her logo is there? Copyright. My wife is a professional photographer and she does the same thing with her photos online. Prevents unauthorized use. Nothing wrong with Ms. Kosteniuk protecting her interests. Nice photos, Alexandra. Would love to get a nice wooden set, but with a houseful of kids, it wouldn’t last too long. So we have a lot of nice plastic sets.
Ms. Kosteniuk — would it be too distracting to play a tournament game with such large and beautifully carved pieces? I’ve often joked with my students that the only reason the pieces are there is so that the spectators can see what’s going in in the minds of the masters. If that’s the case, then I suppose the set you use wouldn’t matter much.
You are right, it does not matter so much how the pieces look, these pieces are beautiful and it would be a pleasure to play with them. More important is that their size is proportional to the squares. Several of the photos on this page are taken with a board which is a little too small for those pieces, it’s fine for the photo shoot, but not so good to play if the pieces are too big for the board. You’d want a board a little larger, similar to the board on the 3rd photo from the bottom.
Please come to Houston Chess Queen! It’s a great city to promote chess.
I’d love to come to Houston! Ask your local chess club or city or school council to invite me!
I can hardly believe that Alexandra still remains a beautiful woman,
over the years women become ugly.
As for the chess board and pieces, I do not distinguish well the cross on the crown of the king, besides that everything is fine.
I will quote a chorus of a song by Caetano Veloso!
You’re beautiful … yes Vece is beautiful! Like waves of the sea and sunshine …
Can I use one of the pics for my FB cover?
Normally one is only allowed to use one’s own photos on Facebook.
All I have to say is “gorgeous”!
